Since we are grass-fed beef producers (Rueffer Ranch Rose Beef) we have cooked many steaks, so today we want to share with you one of our most requested steak recipes.
Starting with beef raised humanely from ranchers implementing regenerative agriculture principles is preferred. Always great to know your personal rancher!
Cast Iron Butter Steak With Garlic
Ingredients
- Ribeye, sirloin, or t-bone steak, butter, garlic, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- Rinse steak with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel while the cast iron skillet is heating
- Add 1/2 tsp of kosher salt to both sides of the steak
- Add butter to heated skillet unless your steak is fatty
- Cook steak for 3 mins on each side
- Add butter, 1 clove minced garlic and pepper
- Turn steak and add butter, 1 clove minced garlic and pepper
- Move skillet off burner
- Keep turning steak in butter until the skillet cools off
- Let rest for 10-15 mins

*NOTE* FOR ADDITIONAL COOKING, ROAST STEAK IN 400 DEGREE OVEN UNTIL DESIRED DONENESS!
ALWAYS BEST TO UNDERCOOK, THEN ADD ADDITIONAL COOKING TIME TO DESIRED DONENESS!
*VERY IMPORTANT* REMEMBER THE TEMPERATURE WILL RISE 5-10 DEGREES WHEN YOU ARE RESTING YOUR STEAK!
*REMEMBER TO REST YOUR STEAK FOR 10-15 MINUTES*
